He hecho este cuchillo con una pequeña hoja que tenía hecha desde hacía un tiempo. En realidad, era una hoja que estaba destinada en principio para ir acoplada en una azagaya, pero pensé que estaría bien enmangarla, así que eso hice. Para ello, decidí abrir lo que sería el mango longitudinalmente y así, poder acoplar la hoja entre las dos mitades, sujeto. Decidí hacerlo todo sin usar herramientas modernas; un trabajo que lleva algo más de tiempo y paciencia, pero cuyo proceso y resultado ha sido sumamente gratificante.
I made this knife with a small blade that i knap some time ago. Actually, that blade was intended to be an atlatl dart point, but then, i thought it would make a nice little knife blade, and so i did. To make it, i decided to cut the handle in half all the way long, so i could place the blade between the two halves. I chose to don´t use any modern tools; a more time taking task but a very satisfactory process and result.
Decidí grabar todo el proceso en video y después de editarlo, creo que no ha quedado mal del todo. Si acaso, como mi amigo Fernando apuntó, tendria que haber prescindido del encendedor que uso para aplicar el pegamento de resina de pino, pero bueno, en ese momento decidí no alargar demasiado el video haciendo fuego por fricción, aunque admito que en realidad habría sido lo más apropiado.

I decided to film the whole process and after the editing i think is not that bad. As my friend Fernando pointed, i shouldn´t have used a lighter to heat the pine pitch glue...It´s true it could have been much better using some fire friction method but, well, at that moment i didnt want to make the video even longer. Next time.
